“Randy Wood was referred to us by our local cottage maintenance people, after checking many references, as someone they believed could be trusted to:
- Provide quality workmanship
- Work well without supervision on site
- Be honest and trustworthy in accomplishing what he stated he would do.
Consequently, without meeting Randy, other than by e-mail introduction, we contracted for his fixed price services to sand and restore our hardwood floors, and clean up after the job was done. Because our summer place where the work was to be done was far from his residence, we permitted Randy to stay on site during the project to save him some valuable time.
During the work, Randy made several suggestions as to what he felt would be important enhancements to the overall outcome, namely restoring an un-finished beam, replacement of a damaged threshold piece, and replacement of an area near the stairs that had been improperly installed with plywood. He provided us with matching hardwood that blended seamlessly with the existing floor.
Throughout the project, due to the geographic challenges, Randy regularly e-mailed photos to keep me up to speed on his progress. He was at all times organized, and thoughtful in our dealings. An added pleasure was his professional and polite demeanour. Randy treated the project in the most meticulous manner conceivable, and the outcome has exceeded our expectations. The floors have been transformed from a deep red / brown to a now gleaming natural finish. The entire place has a brand new look and the workmanship, I do not hesitate to say, could not be surpassed!

“About 5 years ago I went to an auction to purchase hardwood flooring for a friend, and ended up unintentionally buying some for myself. Being a handyman, I had intended to do the installation myself but lack of time forced the boxes of material to sit in my home for almost 2 years, before I came into contact with Randy Wood.
We agreed upon a price and time frame, and on the predetermined day Randy came to tackle the job with his assistant. In less than 3 days, the existing undesirable oak flooring was ripped out and a new Chilean cherry hardwood was installed into two adjoining rooms. The renovation transformed the rooms into beautiful seating areas that are worthy of showing off to our guests and visitors. On completion, the job site was left spotless.
